They prefer road trips which are full of entertainment and fun as you can stay at every beautiful place, take the best shots in the camera and move further. The road trips are usually for private traveling as you can accompany your friends or family. But the road trips are often very exhausting and very tiring. The main problem that occurs in road trips is that you should feel drowsy and it can lead to rash accidents. It is said that drowsy driver can be as dangerous as a drunk driver. So it becomes very important to stay awake during your road trips and maintain the fun and joy.
There are various tips that you should see in order to make your road trip a happy one.
- Before a long drive always try to have a good night’s sleep. You should have eight hours sleep in order to function properly. Take breaks in between driving by resting at the small inns or rest houses. If you feel sleepy let others drive the cars. So it is really very important to accompany someone either your friend or relative to make you stay awake and better if they too know driving. Roam here and there, stretch your legs, do some shooting and hunting.
- Play games that will pass the time in your road trips. Another thing is to listen to the songs in your Bluetooth headsets or if you want sing loudly so as to keep you awake in the exhausting road trips. Another option is to do some mathematics while traveling on road by reciting prime numbers, tables of numbers etc. Still another option is to listen to stories in your cars by buying some CDs or tapes. But make sure that you are able to hear the horns and other things on the road to avoid the accidents.
- If you are traveling with someone then make them talk to you. Do not sit quiet and boring as this can really make you feel sleepy. So it is always better to keep conversing. Make your trip interesting enough that you do not feel sleepy at all and you should be excited enough to beat the drowsiness away. Switch from one activity to another to avoid the monotonous trip. Try to wash your face at regular intervals.
- Bring lots of munching snacks with you so that you indulge in eating if you feel hungry and stay away from sleeping. But make sure that you not eat so much fatty and oily things or something heavy. Eat small, healthy meals and drink lots of water. Do not ever indulge in drinking alcohol. Most people drink a big cup of coffee or tea if other things fail to keep you awake.
All these small and interesting tips will make your road trip a memorable one with your eyes wide open and make you stay awake during the whole trip.
